Time for Phonics - Book 3 continues the theme of developing phonic awareness in word families with more blends and core words that are essential to all reading matter.

Graded sentences support an increased understanding and application of list words and their meanings. There is a gradual introduction to homophones and homographs that appear in some word families. Students' literacy skills are extended through activities focusing on decoding words, spelling rules, compound words, and even fun word puzzles. The student personal word box helps to individualise childrens’ needs in each set of activities.

Series Description

The Time for Phonics series has been developed from the guildelines of the English and Reading curriculum. It was created by an experienced teacher/author who has written many other educational resources for young children. Each book contains a wealth of graded activities with colour illustrations to make the process more meaningful and enjoyable for children.

As activities in each book are completed, the child will develop proficient word attack and literacy skills. There is also scope for revision built into each book, which will assist in the learning process. Assessment tasks are included for diagnostic purposes.
