Successful English 7A (Years 7-9)

Successful English 7A includes exercises for comprehension, grammar and creative writing.

Grammar, comprehension and creative writing will be alternated. The work is presented in small increments that allows the child to absorb the concept. The work becomes harder as the child progresses through the book.

The book builds on grammar learnt in earlier Successful English titles covering: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, parts of a sentence (subject, object, predicates), pronouns, participles, and clauses. It also provides exercises for analogies, figures of speech, metaphors, and ambiguity.

Writing focuses on more specific text types: resumes, and scientific/technical reports.

This book also includes critical thinking skills, understanding poetry, dictionary skills, and electronic communication.

A revision section at the back of the book will allow you to gauge whether or not your child has mastered the concepts.

Answers are included for all exercises.
