The three books in the Practical Science: Energy and Change series contain a set of practical lessons, ideas and worksheets to explore the strand of Energy and Change. Educational website references have been included where possible. All activities are outcome linked to the science strands of state curriculum documents.
Book 1 for ages 6 - 8 years:
Specific tasks focus on energy sources, energy use at home, ways of saving energy and how energy is used in the community. Students will also be involved in learning about common everyday objects, ordering events, understanding sources and uses of energy in everyday appliances, looking at energy transfer, and examining the use of energy in the wider community.
