No Fire Clay - 4ltr Bucket

A soft, pliable, non-toxic air-drying clay made from natural materials that works like natural clay with water and tools, ideal for schools without a kiln.

Features

• Smooth consistency that is easy to handle
• Bonds to itself with a little pressure
• Paint once dry with acrylic or poster paints

How to use

• Keep the clay moist while working, for example with wet foam rubber pieces on the table
• If it starts to crack, moisten your fingers and work the moisture back in
• To join shapes, score both surfaces, wipe with slip (clay and water paste with a drop of PVA), press together and smooth the edges with a modelling tool
• Fill crevices or cracks from joining with a small coil of clay

Details

• Drying time: Approx. 7–10 days at room temperature
• Storage: Keep in the airtight bucket with the lid securely replaced (a quick tap around the rim seals it). Store used clay in a separate airtight container.

Tip: We recommend teaching clay modelling skills with normal clay first, and using this clay for the final piece.
