"First Phonic Reading" can be used in conjunction with, or as a follow up to, "First Phonics".
It is a book of further reading that partly duplicates the format of "First Phonics", but presents different examples.
These include a number of passages with words grouped in phonic sound families, offering practice in reading as well as comprehension.
The answers are presented in multiple choice format.
Each word in a box can only be used one. A number of illustrations help the child answer questions., but most solutions are obtained by reading and reasoning.
The answer section is in the middle of the book so that it can be removed by the parent.
