In this workbook it is assumed that the child knows all the single sounds and can confidently and smoothly blend many consonants. This book moves on to digraphs - letter combinations where the letters combine to make new sounds (ch, th, or, oo, aw etc).
In this workbook chlidren are given the opportunity to:
- learn to recognise and use all the most common digraphs
- hone their decoding skills
- improve comprehension skills
- practise handwriting
- classify and sort words
- improve their vocabulary and
- increase their sight word vocabulary through a variety of activities.
