April 25, 2015 is a very special day for Australians for it marks the centenary of the first ANZAC Day in 1915. The day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. It commemorates the occasion when forces landed at Gallipoli to start a campaign that dragged on for eight months and was marked by great loss of life for little strategic gain.
