- The new curriculum is delivered through inspiring content, clear and highly visual text design, improved readability and simplified language to engage all students.
- Science inquiry boxes help students connect the content with the real-world to fully appreciate the value of learning (and loving) science.
- Making thinking visible activities in every chapter encourage students to discuss and explore contemporary science ideas through Visible Thinking routines, many of which directly address examples in the curriculum.
- Refined hands-on activities in every chapter offer both laboratory activities and longer investigations that develop students’ inquiry skills. All practicals have been completely revised and enhanced by a lab technician to ensure scientific accuracy and easy application for students across all year levels.
- Narrated practical videos walk students through experiment set-up and execution and can be used by remote or absent students, or to familiarise themselves with the techniques and processes before attempting the practical in class. Videos are indicated by an icon in the print book.
- Refined Learning goals at the start of each chapter outline what students can expect to learn and are linked to an end-of-chapter checklist that helps students keep track of their progress and revise chapter content. Physics and Chemistry extension material and worksheets in Year 9 and 10 support prior knowledge for Year 11 and set students up to succeed in senior science.
